16 weeks!

Sorry for the lack of updates but nothing really exciting has happened. I'm not as tired as I was the first three months (which is great because I am definitely not myself if I'm not running around wild) and running is now a little easier. I had such a hard time slowing myself down to keep my heart rate low, I swear there were times my knees where going to fall off!

My yoga class on Monday's have been great! The mom's really seem more connected (I feel) to what I'm teaching as I talk. Maybe because now I'm a mama too? Maybe! Either way, it's been great. I really see the wellness aspect of Yoga becoming more important than the "boot camp" work out I used to make it. See Corey? I'm learning!

So here we go:

123 lbs
34B (and seriously, almost out of these- YAY!!!)
0 office pants that fit me.

13 weeks!

This nugget is the size of a lemon and a whopping 1.5 ounces- look at that head!

Currently:

121 lbs

Still 5'6" (woo hoo!)

and you wouldn't believe me if I said my 34B was a little snug....but it is!
(this, my friends, is the best part of pregnancy- GO BOOBS!)

I still have to get shane's pics from yesterday's appointment.

Meanwhile...

Despite the crazy trip to the ER, a Freddy Kreuger looking hand and a sore shoulder, this has been a great week!

We're prepping for friend's baby showers, planning wedding floral and FINALLY getting better weather, which I desperately need. Denise also has decided Baby Names (Hurray! I can't wait to meet them!) and my mom-in-law is getting settled in AZ. All in all, things are pretty good.

We finally started telling people last week that we were having a little alien of our own- it is soooo weird! I just can't get over it - I feel like we are 12 year olds with jobs! I mean really? Us? Do you know us? We're nuts! I also can't quite say "I'm Preggggg...." see? It's weird. It's all so weird.

And awesome.

I'm still wearing my old clothes, which is nice and not so nice, depending on how tight I'm ok with- considering everything I wear is pretty darn tight- there must be some adjusting. I think I'm ok showing off the growing gut, I just have to remember to say I'm pregggg....yeah that, when people ask me about my weight gain. (I am Mexican- we have no filter. If you gain or lose 10lbs, fellow Mexicans WILL ask you about it.) There also has to be some serious accessorizing. Maybe if I continue to layer necklaces, brooches and scarves the growing bump will look proportional?

So these are the pieces I'm considering:

I'm on the H&M site now which has awesome stuff.....

(Anyone try the Gap jeans? I've never owned a pair but I hear great stuff about the preggy denim)

Were you listening AT ALL?

I have to gripe a little about constant inconsistency. I've never really been to the doctor for anything before the pregnancy; I think it's a hassle, takes too long and I'm never really that sick to do so.

But this is the second time I'm wondering if I speak another language when I call (I know I talk fast so this could be so...). Denise mentioned this happening to her so I'm pretty sure that it happens to everyone.

At 6 and a half weeks, there were about 4 days of excruciating pain- like someone was taking a fork and pressing it through my left ovary. I mean bad. So by the 5th day I call the Dr. office and speak to the receptionist:

Me: Hi, My name is blah, blah blah, I'm 6 and a 1/2 weeks pregnant and have an appointment in 2 weeks but
(and I explain everything)

Her: Uh huh.

Me: So do you think I should come in? Do you think it may be something besides "cramps"

Her: So you have your period now?

Me: Um, no. I'm pregnant, remember?

Her: Oh! Wait. I didn't know that. Hold on, I'm sure the Dr. is going to want you to come in.

See?

Luckily it was only a cyst that had "exploded", causing pain, but nothing serious.

Flash forward to yesterday. Two days of the same pain. Again. Should I call, should I bother them? Am I just being nutty? naaaaaahhhh, I take the safe approach and email.

She finally get back to me today (third day of pain). It goes like this:

Her: Hi I am returning your email.

Me: Oh thank you! So, blah, blah, blah (I reiterate the email, which explains everything, again)

Her: Ok, so when does your cycle start?

Me: Um. What?

Her: When is your next period starting, do you know?

Me: I DID say I was pregnant, right? The email said that, right?

Her: Oh! Wait! I had NOOO idea you were pregnant! Let me get the doctor!

Really?

So I guess it's ok but COME ON! Who's running the show at these joints!?!? I worked a front desk- ITS NOT ROCKET SCIENCE!

That is all.
